Places we love: alarmist Brewing
Do you ever walk in somewhere and just know it will be good? A place where the beer flows, the bartenders and brewers are friendly, and the atmosphere puts you at ease.
Alarmist Brewery on the northwest side hits all of those notes, and then some. I started stopping in a few years ago when I would ride around town, and after a while I became a regular. And for good reason: their beer is some of the best in the city. Don’t take my word for it. Their hazy Le Jus was the first ever hazy to win gold at the Great American Beer Festival back in 2018. And their pale ale Pantsless won bronze in 2020.
Alarmist is more than just beer. They whip up one of my favorite Old Fashioneds and do other cocktails, too. They also often set up a projector to watch the Bears and other sports, and in good weather their outdoor patio is one of the best around.
Fortunately for everyone, Alarmist and their award-winning beers are often available in the shop’s beer fridge. Book your next cut now — and enjoy some Alarmist on us.
