Straight Razor - Fullterton Avenue 4.25"

Working with Travis of Frier Custom Manufacturing, we develop solutions to problems we find in our barbering experiences in conversation with our shop customers here at Joe's in Chicago. We apply this knowledge for the best possible small run / double-sided safety razors on the market. We combine unique handle designs with simple, effective Merkur Razor heads finished in chrome for striking contrast.

The handle of the Fullerton Ave razor solves a few problems in wet shaving. Typical small, lightweight handles don’t have enough space for all your fingers and thumb, which makes the initial shave angle difficult. The stronger feel on our razor provides a more confident shave. This added weight further prevents the common “push” against the the skin for a close shave. The weight behind the razor does the work for you. As with all of our razors, we raised the head 5/8" to give better visibility. Better visibility = fewer cuts and a better shave. All of our razors feature a 45-degree approach angle and accept any double-sided safety razor blade.

Each razor includes with a pack of 10 Feather brand double sided razor blades. When given as a gift, the recipient is ready to go without delay.

PACKAGING
The handmade box is a piece of art in its own right. Working with Joe from Dybdal Designs in Chicago we’ve created a simple, striking box for each razor. Wood is sourced through reclaimed old-growth wood from “deconstruction” projects in Chicago. Each box is handmade and no one box is the same.

The handmade insert, made by the designers at Rohnner Letterpress in Chicago, was created to be both functional and practical. The insert was engineered to keep the razor safe during shipping and to make a great impression on opening the box. It’s also made to be quickly and easily removed so the box itself can be reused and repurposed.
