Joe’s Barbershop Chicago has teamed up with The Powder Pro to take the already impressive Andis Master to another level not seen before. Months of testing with different processes has produced a vibrant/rock hard coating perfect for the busy shop environment. Not only is our coating process heavy duty, it carries a finish that belongs on a custom motorcycle or Hot Rod. Our colors that we offer have been formulated and made just for us and look a mile deep.

- – C u s t o m C l i p p e r P r o c e s s – -
All custom clipper models start off as a 100% brand new Andis Master ML clipper. These are not “factory seconds”, bought at a flee market, or bought used from Ebay. Each clipper assembly gets removed from its case with the up most care to preserve all factory settings and make re-assembly that much easier.Next the clipper case gets blasted to create a textured finish for the custom coating process to adhere too. We have worked hard to come up with our own exact blend of media which both removes all impurities from the surface but doesn’t hurt the case itself. From this point forward rubber gloves are used to protect the freshly blasted metal from impurities that would otherwise compromise the final finish..
Once all threaded holes and mounting surfaces are taped/blocked off, the 1st of many coats are applied. The coating process that we have come up with is chemical/crack/dent/and fade resistant. Then the clipper body visits the oven for a “slow cure” process which gives the finish its strength. Once the coating has passed final inspection all threaded holes get chased to insure they are clean, and the inside of the case gets cleaned to provide a “like new” environment for the internals. Each clipper’s internals get placed back in the freshly coated case with the utmost care to not damage or throw off any of the factory adjustments. After re-assembly is complete the clipper is tested once again to insure it works as if it just left the factory floor.

As you can see from the process above the steps to get a truly custom Master is not an easy one. We have spent months perfecting every step of this process to insure you get a truly one off clipper that will last for years, and get you noticed. Of course you could just go spray paint your existing clipper, but will it hold up to daily barbershop use? Will the 5 in 1 spray you use eat away at the finish? Will the coating take the abuse of a hard bristle brush going over the case to remove loose hairs? This is exactly why we have done our homework, and come up with our own process to insure that the coating on your custom Master is durable and will last. The first clipper we ever did was in use for over 6 months before we decided to bring this product to the public 4 sale.
