Since we started customizing clippers their have been allot of people coming up with their “version” of a custom clipper. Ours our powdercoated, the others use reg. off the shelf at home depot paint. Ours start off as a brand new production unit from Andis, the others are factory 2nd’s and used clippers they buy on ebay. Our finishes are 10x harder than automotive grade paint, the others use everything from spraypaint to exterior house paint (i have seen it – believe me). Bottom line is you get what you pay for in life. If you want a clipper that stands out from the rest, has the best/brightest/hardest/most chemical resistant finish available you have come to the right place. Remember folks, spray paint or even automotive paint is NOT the same as powdercoating (google “Powdercoating” and look for yourself). Others try and offer a “custom clipper” for less than ours, but that’s exactly what it is (a cheaper clipper) where the finish wont last. Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available…

All event patrons will gather at the shop on Sunday 3/24/13 to have each of their faces cleaned off of any and all facial hair by way of a hot lather straight razor shave, then a picture will be taken of the new clean face, and a entry fee of $20 to gain access into the contest will b paid. Each contestant will then have to report back to the barbershop the last Sunday of each month for one year for any sort of trimming, shaping, etc on their growing facial hair, as well as to have another official headshot taken and another $20 to go into the “kitty” so to speak. If a month is missed that said contestant will be eliminated from the competition.
At the end of the year/contest, the barbershop will host a event in which the crowd will have the chance to vote for which beard/facial hair creation they think is the best. The winner will get cash and prizes (amount and what still yet to be determined) and whatever else we come up with to celebrate this monumental achievement.

In a nutshell contest participants will meetup at the shop on Sunday 3/24/13 to have any and all facial hair removed , a picture taken of the clean face, then they are off to grown the biggest/longest/meanest beard they can for the next YEAR. At the time of the contest end whoever has the most wicked beard wins the pot (and some other things as well).

That’s exactly what the shop is going to be these last few days we are open before the Xmas holiday. Three barbers everyday to try and keep the wait down, but try and remember that we never rush anyone once they are in the barber chair. The shop is pleased to introduce our newest color to our custom clipper program. EggShell Blue is the lightest/softest color we have produced so far. It isn’t a off the shelf color, but yet a mix of three different colors to come up with the softest blue seen in a powdercoat finish. Mix in our own heavy metalflake and you have a clipper that will def. stand out in a busy barbershop. NOTE: This clipper comes with both heavy metalflake white AND heavy gloss black top plates.
